US Kumdo Union

Someone told me last night that the US Kumdo Union joined KKA-USA? Can someone confirm?

If true, I guess this is preparation for KKA-USA joining AUSKF - I recall that AUSKF wanted to bring in separate Kumdo ogranizations in one shot and wanted KKA-USA to consolidate them.

It does not appear that USKU will join anytime soon. I believe past histories and old arguments have prevented it for now. Maybe some day in the future they may join, we can only hope that all of the dojangs will unite someday.

aznbladze, I was present during the "discussion" and that was not the case, the issue was never around allowing or not allowing the USKU players from competing, the issue was FIK (IKF) rules requiring officially sanctioned judges, as USKU and a couple of other groups there do not hold FIK sanctioned rank, they could not be judges, USKU and the other groups decided to withdraw, a regrettable decision and a disappointment to the rest of the players present.

Maybe some day these groups will come together...we can only hope.....
