Prepping for the 14WKC

Looks like Korea has started the selection process for the 14WKC!

Not sure when the men's selection will start.

Selection is official...

People you may remember from last time are Lee, Oh, Kim... Funny thing is that they came to Italy to participate in our trophy back in 2006. I guess we brought them luck...

I read the last paragraph of this last press article by Go Gyu Chul Seunsaengnim and thought it was pretty inspiring.

Cesarekim sunbaenim, I think Lee Gang Ho Suhnsoo will be the JooJang against Teramoto lets hope he can reverse the result from Glasgow.

I also saw that Oh Gil Hyun Suhnsoo and Park Byeong Hoon Suhnsoo made it throught he survival to the final 12. These guys are awe inspiring. I seriously have to question whether any other country, including Japan, puts their national team members through such training?

I don't know whether the Korean selection process is more effective than the one in Japan. The issue from a family point of view is that you basically don't have one for the year and a half leading up to the WKC. I still remember how bad Ryu Joong Young felt about not being there when his son was born. His son was born during the Glasgow WKC, btw...

Gil Hyun came back from a potentially career ending injury in March of last year. They held a spot for him even though he missed half the selection meets. Kang Ho was also seriously considering a knee surgery last year. Hope he holds together till August.

Let's keep our fingers crossed...
